Same-Day Dental Implants: A New Smile in a Single Visit

Losing a tooth is traumatic, especially if it’s right in the front of your smile. The thought of waiting months with a gap or wearing a removable flipper can be discouraging. But thanks to advances in implant technology, you don't always have to wait.

At Gardens Implant & Cosmetic Dentistry, we specialize in Same-Day Dental Implants (also known as Immediate Load Implants).

This advanced procedure allows us to extract a failing tooth, place a dental implant, and attach a temporary crown all in one appointment. It is the ultimate solution for patients who want to restore their smile instantly without sacrificing quality or aesthetics.

EXPERTISE

Why Choose Gardens for Your Immediate Implant?

Same-day implants require a higher level of surgical precision than traditional delayed implants. You need a team that understands the critical balance between speed and stability.

  • Surgical Precision: Dr. Hans Almanzar is a Master of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (MICOI). He uses 3D guidance to place the implant with such high stability that it can support a tooth immediately.

  • Aesthetic Mastery: We don't just fill a gap; we recreate nature. We shape your temporary crown to support your gum tissue perfectly while it heals, ensuring your final result looks like it grew there naturally.

  • Safety First: We are honest. Not every patient is a candidate for same-day loading. We use advanced diagnostics to verify your bone quality. If it's not safe, we will tell you, because your long-term success is our priority.

PROCEDURE

The Same-Day Smile Process

We have streamlined the implant journey to give you immediate results.

  1. 3D Planning: We take a CBCT scan to map your bone and plan the exact angle of the implant.

  2. Gentle Extraction: If the damaged tooth is still present, Dr. Almanzar removes it atraumatically to preserve the surrounding bone.

  3. Implant Placement: The titanium implant is placed directly into the fresh socket (or healed site).

  4. Immediate Tooth: We attach a custom-made temporary crown to the implant. This tooth is designed to look great but is slightly shorter than your bite to ensure no pressure is put on it while healing.

  5. Final Restoration: After 3-4 months of healing, we replace the temporary with your permanent, high-strength zirconia crown.

TESTIMONIAL

Patient Success Story: No One Knew

Actual Patient Scenario

The Challenge: "Michael," a 35-year-old sales manager, cracked his front tooth playing basketball. It was non-restorable. He was devastated at the idea of going to work with a missing front tooth or a removable retainer.

The Solution: He came to us for an emergency consult. Dr. Almanzar confirmed he had excellent bone density. We extracted the root and placed an implant immediately. We fabricated a temporary crown right in the office.

The Result: Michael walked out 90 minutes later with a full smile. The temporary tooth looked so natural that his clients never noticed. He returned 4 months later for the final crown, thrilled with the seamless process. He told us, "You saved my confidence. I didn't miss a single day of work."

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I a candidate for same-day implants?

You generally need good bone density and no active infection in the site. It is most commonly done for single front teeth or full-arch replacements (All-on-4®). We will verify your candidacy with a 3D scan.

Is the "Same-Day" tooth permanent?

No. The tooth you get on the day of surgery is a high-quality temporary crown. It is designed to look good but is made of a lighter material to avoid putting stress on the healing implant. Your permanent, high-strength ceramic crown is placed after the bone has fully locked to the implant (about 3-4 months later).

Can I eat with it?

You must be careful. For the first few months, you should maintain a soft diet and avoid biting directly into hard foods (like apples or crusty bread) with that specific tooth. This protects the implant while it integrates with your bone.

Does it hurt?

Most patients report very little pain, often less than a simple extraction. You are numb during the process, and because we place the implant into the existing socket, there is minimal trauma to the gums.

What if I don't have enough bone?

If your bone is too soft to support a tooth immediately, we can still place the implant, but we will let it heal under the gum for safety. We will provide a different temporary option (like a bridge or flipper), so you never have to go without a smile.
