The Same-Day Smile Process

We have streamlined the implant journey to give you immediate results.

3D Planning: We take a CBCT scan to map your bone and plan the exact angle of the implant.
Gentle Extraction: If the damaged tooth is still present, Dr. Almanzar removes it atraumatically to preserve the surrounding bone.
Implant Placement: The titanium implant is placed directly into the fresh socket (or healed site).
Immediate Tooth: We attach a custom-made temporary crown to the implant. This tooth is designed to look great but is slightly shorter than your bite to ensure no pressure is put on it while healing.
Final Restoration: After 3-4 months of healing, we replace the temporary with your permanent, high-strength zirconia crown.

Am I a candidate for same-day implants?

You generally need good bone density and no active infection in the site. It is most commonly done for single front teeth or full-arch replacements (All-on-4®). We will verify your candidacy with a 3D scan.

Is the "Same-Day" tooth permanent?

No. The tooth you get on the day of surgery is a high-quality temporary crown. It is designed to look good but is made of a lighter material to avoid putting stress on the healing implant. Your permanent, high-strength ceramic crown is placed after the bone has fully locked to the implant (about 3-4 months later).

Can I eat with it?

You must be careful. For the first few months, you should maintain a soft diet and avoid biting directly into hard foods (like apples or crusty bread) with that specific tooth. This protects the implant while it integrates with your bone.

Does it hurt?

Most patients report very little pain, often less than a simple extraction. You are numb during the process, and because we place the implant into the existing socket, there is minimal trauma to the gums.

What if I don't have enough bone?

If your bone is too soft to support a tooth immediately, we can still place the implant, but we will let it heal under the gum for safety. We will provide a different temporary option (like a bridge or flipper), so you never have to go without a smile.
